We asked our members to describe their experience with Scott George and the Forge Strength Systems family. Here’s what they had to say…

Mikey Badella, 19yrs old, FSS Competition Team

“[My experience] was amazing. I made more progress, hit more PRs, and enjoyed every second of training. I also learned a lot from him too… My experience prepping was nice. Everything flowed smoothly. Never really had a bad training day. They were all moderate to great workouts. Leading up to comp day things got more strenuous but that’s expected. But on comp day I blew everything out of the water. It went perfectly and then more.”

When asked about his experience with the the forge family: “Love them all!”

Ryan King, FSS family since 2017.

Written by Scott George on Ryan’s incredible feat at the World Police and Fire games:

“He won’t say it but I will. This dude busted his knee chasing down a criminal and it ended up swelling like a basketball requiring stitches and left him mostly immobilized two weeks or so prior to traveling literally across the world to compete amongst the strongest first responders IN THE WORLD.

Whatever excuse you have for not being able to be the best version of yourself you can just shove it right up your poop hole. CONGRATS @pwr_king_85 absolutely incredible!

Managed to squeak by with a gold 🏅 in benchpress and put @maderasheriff on the map at the 2019 World Police and Fire Games in Chengdu, China!”

Salvador (Sal) Gutierrez, 22yrs old, FSS Family since 2018
“Being coached by Scott has done wonders for all of my lifts. His attention to detail and more importantly his patience to guide you through all the movements is extraordinary. He can work with anyone at any level, and I know for me his coaching and tips changed the way I viewed my passion and his knowledge is going to stay with me for a very long time. My time spent with the forge family has been superb. There is an abundance of knowledge, an abundance that only a diverse group of people at every level can offer.

You always leave the gym feeling good and having learned something new to apply to your training, not to mention you make amazing friends along the way.

It’s an environment I would recommend for anyone interested in advancing every aspect of their training and their overall life.”

Andrew Young, 18yrs old, FSS Competition Team
“Everyone I asked recommend Scott.

“Great gym with all the equipment you need. Also Scott’s a great coach he pushes you to be your best and always has great energy. Scott made everything super easy and straight forward all I had to do was show up and lift.”

When asked about his experience with the Forge family: “Great experience happy I’m able to say I’m a part of it.”

Samantha B., 31yrs old, FSS Family since 2017
“Forge strength systems has a variety of equipment. It’s spacious enough where your not right on top of anyone like other gyms. There is also a room for my kids to play which I didn’t get from other gyms. I recently started a work out plan created by Scott, and in less than 2 weeks I have already noticed a difference. He listened to what my goals were and created a plan to fit that.”

“Coaching with Scott has been amazing, going into the gym and leaving I always felt confident that he knew what he was taking about. He made sure form was on point, that I wasn’t straining, and gave tips on how to reach my work out goal.”

When asked about her experience with the the forge family: “It’s just that, a family. Some gyms you go in and don’t even know anyone’s name. Not here. Scott and the other clients make sure they introduce themselves and always say hello and goodbye. It makes all the difference, something I didn’t feel at any other gym. I’m so grateful to have found a gym family in Forge Strength Systems.”

Lydia Larson, 30yrs old, FSS Competition Team
“In the beginning I was horribly out of shape and had terrible sciatic pain. Scott spent a month or two patiently and carefully rehabilitating my back, which helped me build confidence that I could grow out of that pain. Around my 3rd month of training the pain was gone!

I come from an obese family so getting into the strength training world was terrifying for me. When I started at the gym, I had no plans for being a competitive lifter but as time went on, I was naturally inspired to compete with the team.

After around 6mo, I began training for my first powerlifting meet. The training was difficult but the communication with Scott was great and it was a smooth and rewarding process. I had an awesome day at competition and it was one of the most proud moments of my life. I worked my ass off to get to that point but I couldn’t have done it without the family I found at the Forge and the constant support and care from Scott. That achievement was everything to me and I’ll carry that with me forever. The forge is truly a family and I always feel like I have a place there.”

Gregory, Cotterell, 61yrs old, FSS Competition Team

“I’ve proudly been a part of the Forge Strength Systems (FSS) team on 3 occasions, with my most memorable being last year February at the NASPOWER Winter Open. During that meet I set the state records for my age/weight class, Master’s 60-64/275lbs, across the board, with a 446lbs squat, 330lbs bench press, & 567lbs deadlift, for a 1344lbs total (all state records). More importantly, we had 6 team members competing that day under the FSS banner, & won the team trophy/plaque.

I’ve never personally been coached by Scott, but I have witnessed the multiple successes of his clients. If I ever decide to hire a powerlifting coach, Scott will be my first & only choice. I’m just thankful, & proud to be a part of the FSS family, & can’t imagine working out anywhere else. In my humble opinion, we have the best gym & gym owner in the Central Valley.”

Thomas Hollier, 33yrs old, FSS Competition Team

“The gym offers a fun, competitive lifting environment that encourages growth and friendship between lifters. Scott’s coaching is a mix of dedication and drive which helps the lifters want to meet their goals.

I’ve competed with Scott twice now. At both meets, I’ve hit personal records due to his coaching and support. While prepping, Scott encourages you both in and out of the gym. He ensures his athletes are healthy mentally and physically. During competition Scott is there encouraging and making sure you have what you need to be successful.”

Ricky Chohan, FSS Family since 2017
“My name is Ricky Chohan and Scott has been my coach for approximately 2 years now. Scott George is one of the most approachable guys you could ever meet in the city of Chowchilla. In a short amount of time, he helped me perfect my squat, bench press, and deadlift form and raised my PR. Scott has been there for me not only as a coach but as a brother that helped me through a negative time in my life.

Scott has a type of personality that exerts positive energy and makes each and every training session enjoyable.

Scott’s training program that he designs personally for each one of his members are always clear, firm, and consistent. He is always there when you need him, both as a mentor and a coach.”
